New pool: Relaxing refuge

Escape the daily grind in your own backyard

Pride Pools has been trusted to create pools and outdoor living spaces in some of Sydney’s most prestigious locations, so the company was more than qualified to build this pool area, which stretches magnificently from the rear windows of the house to the back fence.

Natural tones were selected for the materials used in and around the pool to create a feeling of authentic tranquillity. Without doubt, the most soothing aspect of the design is the inclusion of a pond, with water flowing over the slate-tiled edge of the pool into the pebblecrete-lined pond. The sound is soothing and blocks out the world beyond.

A timber deck at the far end of the pool, along with a paved entertaining deck, provides ample room for stylish outdoor furniture and creates a beautiful spot to entertain guests or watch over kids playing in the pool.

Designed in conjunction with Marsh Cashman Koolloos Architects, this pool is more than just a place to cool off on hot days; it’s a relaxing refuge for its lucky owners to escape to.

Pride Pools’ company philosophy is to design and build consistently to a very high standard. Never put off by difficult locations or challenging sites, the team at Pride Pools always rises to the occasion and exceeds even the most ambitious clients’ expectations.

In all its dealings with clients, Pride Pools aims to be creative, supply honest and detailed quotations, communicate closely and give a high level of personal service. “When we build, we do it to the best of our ability, always striving for consistent quality,” owner Darryl Walters says.

Pride Pools builds from its own designs and can also work in close collaboration with landscape designers, architects and home builders. The company specialises in smaller, innovative quality pools as well as larger, more complex creations and difficult sites. The company works across Sydney, from the eastern suburbs, Palm Beach and Hornsby to Strathfield, Grays Point, the Northern Beaches and the inner city.
